周莉亚韩真ZHOU LIYAHAN ZHEN

周莉亚与韩真的合作，始于学生时代。此后多年，她们从编舞、排练到共同承担整部作品的创作，在一次次舞台实践中逐渐形成彼此熟悉、又始终保有差异的工作方式。2014年的《沙湾往事》是两人首次共同担任总编导；此后，《杜甫》《花木兰》《永不消逝的电波》等作品，让这段合作不断进入新的题材，也不断面对新的创作命题。 长期合作没有把她们磨成同一种声音。一个判断提出，另一个判断会追问；一个方案已经成形，也可能被重新拆解。她们在反复的讨论、试演与删改中寻找作品真正需要的形状。熟悉并没有代替思考，默契也没有取消分歧——相反，正因为彼此足够熟悉，不同的判断才得以被保留下来，并在舞台上彼此校正。 从岭南生活的质地，到历史人物的精神世界，再到更自由的舞台结构，不同作品一次次改变她们理解人物、空间与舞蹈的方式。对她们而言，真正值得珍惜的并不是已经形成的方法，而是面对下一部作品时，仍愿意放下已经有效的方法，重新寻找。一段长期合作最难得的，也许不是越来越相似，而是在多年之后，仍能以不同的目光看向同一个舞台。

Zhou Liya and Han Zhen began working together as students. Over the years, from choreography and rehearsal to shaping entire productions together, they developed a way of working grounded in deep familiarity without surrendering difference. In 2014, Shawan Past marked their first collaboration as co-directors and choreographers. Du Fu, Mulan and The Eternal Wave followed, each bringing them into a different world and confronting them with a different artistic question. Years of collaboration have not made them speak with one voice. One judgement invites another; an idea that has already taken shape may still be taken apart and begun again. Through discussion, trial and revision, they search for the form the work itself demands. Familiarity has never replaced thought, nor has trust erased disagreement. If anything, knowing one another so well has allowed different instincts to remain intact — and to test, sharpen and recalibrate each other on stage. From the textures of life in southern China, to the inner worlds of historical figures, to increasingly open forms of stage-making, each work has altered the way they think about character, space and movement. What matters to them is not the method that has already proved successful, but the willingness to set it aside when the next work asks for something else — and to begin the search again.Perhaps the rarest thing in a long creative partnership is not growing more alike, but still being able, after all these years, to look at the same stage with different eyes.
